Every year on September 24th, the global scientific community unites to celebrate World Cancer Research Day (WCRD). This date serves as a reminder of a truth: behind every treatment, there are years of research.

At Mac4Me, metastatic cancer is a challenge we tackle together. Under this year’s international campaign theme—“Advancing Cancer Research Together”—our consortium is proud to highlight the role of collaboration, interdisciplinary innovation, and public engagement in advancing health science across Europe.

Advancing oncology requires more than laboratory settings; it requires transparency, open dialogue, and connecting researchers with the communities they serve. Demystifying the scientific process and sharing the human effort behind cancer research are key steps toward building public trust and inspiring the next generation of scientists.

To mark World Cancer Research Day, from Mac4Me, we launched a special video series featuring our doctoral candidates working across different partner institutions in Europe.

Through these short videos, you can step directly into our laboratories and research offices to experience a day in the life of a Mac4Me researcher.

Together, we can continue driving research that is meaningful, inclusive, and capable of improving lives worldwide.
